Noise Luna Ring Vs. Boat Ring Gen 1: Which one is best?

Noise Luna Smart Ring vs. Boat Smart Ring Gen 1: is it worth?

Noise recently launched its new smart ring, Luna, to rival the boat smart ring. Both smart rings offer various functionalities, but the boat ring costs Rs. 8,999, whereas the noise smart ring costs Rs. 14,999, which is a big difference.

So will the difference in cost be covered by the features let’s find out in this comparison. Have a look at the price, features, and differences below.

Noise Luna Ring vs. Boat Ring Gen 1: Price

The first thing we noticed was the big price difference between the two smart rings.

The Noise Luna Ring has a price tag of Rs. 14,999, and if you pre-ordered it, you can get a Rs. 1,000 discount (October 4). It is available in 7 ring sizes, which is a good thing because most of the users can find the perfect ring size. It comes with 5 colour options to choose from, including Sunlit Gold, Rose Gold, Stardust Silver, Lunar Black, and Midnight Black.

The Boat Smart Ring Gen 1 has a price tag of Rs. 8,999 but also has only 3 sizes available, which are 7, 9, and 11. So, if you do not fall into these sizes, then it’s not for you. You only have one colour option available: Black. You can grab this ring via the company’s website or Amazon.

The Noise Ring does come in a higher price range, but it does offer multiple ring sizes and colours, which you can’t get on the Boat ing. So, if you are not a fan of black, then the noise ring would be a better option for you.

Design and build

The Ring Gen 1 boasts a ceramic and metallic material design, whereas the Luna ring comes with a fighter jet-grade titanium body, which is durable and lighter than the ceramic body.

If we talk about the weight, the Ring Gen 1 weighs around 8 grammes, while on the other hand, the Luna weighs 3 to 4 grammes, and they also use a hypoallergenic smooth inner shell and a diamond-like coating to protect the ring from corrosion and scratches.

So far, the noise’s having an upper hand over the boat from the build, material, design, and weight. But the main comparison is yet to come, which could turn the tables.

Health Features

The Ring Gen 1 tracks activities: steps, sleep, heart rate, blood oxygen, body temperature, and menstruation. But Noise’s ring can track all this and 70+ more activities.

Both of these rings can track light sleep, deep sleep, and REM, but we don’t know how accurate they are right now.

One cool feature that Noise offers is the activity score, which tracks inactivity, activity levels, and recovery through 3-axis motion sensors. It can also sense if you are walking, running, or doing any activity that is not available in the boat ring.

The Noise also claims that the ring can track heart rate, sleep patterns, movements, and other bio-data better than wrist wearables with the help of its PPG sensor.

Battery and Features

One of the abilities that stands out is that there’s swipe gesture support on the Ring Gen 1, which comes in handy for taking photos, liking short videos via long press, pausing or playing music, and flipping pages in an e-book, which is not available in the Luna ring.

The Ring Gen 1 battery can last up to 4 to 5 days; on the other hand, the Luna can last up to 7 days on a single charge. The boat offers a 5ATM water resistance, whereas the noise offers a water resistance of up to 50 meters.

These are all the important highlights that both rings have to offer, and about accuracy, users are not satisfied with the Boat Ring Gen 1, which is said to be inaccurate for the most part. We still don’t know how accurate the Noise Luna is, but at the price these rings come in, you can buy a good smartwatch with all these features and more.

I don’t recommend spending on these rings; rather, buy a good smartwatch in the same price range.
